just got this 2023 silver proof from a reliable seller, it weighs 12.89 grams, while my other silver proofs weigh 12.67 or so, any ideas why?

It's less than 2% off the mark, is that within Mint tolerance for proofs?

Apparently this is within the allowable weight tolerance - although I don't know what that tolerance is for a silver proof.

it should weigh 12.685g
2023 S Kennedy half dollars : Silver Proof
Mintage: 212,565 Minted at: San Francisco
Metal Composition: 99.9% Fine Silver
Diameter: 30.6 mm - Mass / Weight: 12.685 grams
Yours does weigh a bit more than it should, but what is the tolerance for these pure metal coins?

I reached out to the company I bought it from, they contacted the mint and found out 1992 and newer silver kennedy proofs have a tolerance of +/- .4 grams, so though high, it is correct.
