Gday Guys,
anyone seen a roll of 2022 ten cents yet ? apparently there's 4 mil minted but I have not hear whisper of one outside of a mint set.
Yet the .1 mil minted ( at the time of the RAM report ) 1$MOR is fairly well available.
cheers

I have found plenty of them in Armaguard rolls here in Sydney. Maybe distribution of coins is different depending on your location?

Perthite, from another Perthite, I haven't seen any in circulation either (south of the river). My one and only was from a mint set.

Gday Triggersmob - Thanks !
i just thought bit weird that there are not any online by now - rolls that is . I like to buy a couple of rolls each year of the lower denominations as I have collected them since young - even the 2019 JC ( lowest ever minted 5c ) was easier to buy at this stage than a roll of 2022 ten cent .......

Maybe there is a glut of 10c coins, so they are being held until needed. Hopefully they will be available soon. Good luck with your hunt. I have never collected rolls, but got heaps of the 2019 coins in bags from the coin swap.

Quote: Maybe there is a glut of 10c coins, so they are being held until needed. There is an absolute flood of 2021 10c coins in circulation at the moment. (Remember this time last year people were claiming they were low mintage ) RAM is holding back the 2022 10c just like they did the 2019 50c and 2020 MOR $1.

Quote: RAM is holding back the 2022 10c just like they did the 2019 50c and 2020 MOR $1. Words cannot describe how true this is. A while back when I first started coin roll hunting, I only found a 2020 MOR four months after I started, and it was already losing lustre. Now whenever I open a $1 roll, most of the shiny edges are either Donation Dollars, 2019/2020 MORS, or Dinosaurs. I just hope the RAM hurries up and posts the mintage figures for the Dinosaur and GACH 3 coins so we can see which series has a higher mintage altogether.

I've found a single 2022 ten cent coin. The coin machines are still spitting out 2021 rolls...

Quote: we will start looking for 2023 soon ! Guess RAM don't have to mint coins for circulation every year if there is no demand. As a cashless society is just around the corner, and the cost of producing cupronickel coins exceeds their value, the Ram has to churn out $2 coloured coins to try and make some money.

We wouldn't have key dates if it was otherwise. Quote:

I suspect there are a few more corners yet, although I can see the 5c piece going. There is always the option of a cheaper metal. If replacing the Cu-Ni coins with a cheaper metal, what would you prefer: a) Copper b) Aluminium c) Stainless steel d) Aluminium bronze e) Copper-aluminium-nickel
