Wanted to do a quick giveaway to help out a fellow YN. For those that don't know, the ANA has a great program for YNs to earn "dollars" for things like writing articles about coins, doing presentations, and things like that. YNs can then spend them by bidding on coins in special auctions run by the ANA. I am giving away $185 worth of YN dollars that I earned when I was doing the program, as I am no longer a YN, I can't use them myself, but I would rather have them go to an aspiring young collector than collect dust in my closet. So, the first YN to send me a self addressed envelope and a stamp will get them. US addresses only please. Per ANA rules, the recipient must be between 5 and 17, and be an active ANA member. |

Young Numismatists = YN I am not 100% sure but I think it is a program started at least as far back as the early 1980's, perhaps earlier by the ANA as the young collectors are the future of our hobby. |

So looking at the rules, YN dollars can't be transferred. So we had to depose of them. No worries CC2012, we found out my YN can earn them quickly with online visits to museums and mints because of CoVID. So we have earned the same number. Auction will be live on YouTube Sept 10th.

Just to update. Abby was able to win one lot. #36 1877 Russian 10 Kopek. Waiting for coin to arrive.  |
