British 1945 Halfcrown

Darkened fine condition

Lustrous AU/Near UNC

Okay not a huge change as the before coin was decent, but the before coin cost $8 and the after only $20. I got my moneys worth.

With the last entry being from 2020, it would be fair to say that this thread has died up a little. Maybe some renewed interest in the topic.

Anyways...

I don't have any coins that fit the bill, but I do have a commemorative medal that qualifies.

When I first started looking for one of the Gutzon Borglum-designed Stone Mountain Children's Founders Roll medals, I purchased an XF example that was a bit dark and discolored, but still with good design details.

Later, I came across a nice, bright, sharp uncirculated example that I added to my collection as an upgrade.

Original Purchase: XF-ish Medal

Follow-Up Purchase: Upgraded Uncirculated Medal

1932-D Washington quarter
It would appear that somebody put an 'H' counterstamp on this worn quarter a very long time ago and is almost worn off like th rest of the devices. (Double stamped too)
