Strange approach to trying to solve a theft. Sounds like the authorities have hit the proverbial brick wall. I wish him success on something that must be extremely frustrating.

With coins getting stolen very often it would be nice to see TPG's having "report as stolen" option on some of the rarer coins. So whenever that coins number is searched it comes up as stolen and the thief can be caught. This however could suffer from some abuse. As bad as it sounds, this man was being robbed for 2 1/2 years already. You'd think if he's able to have a 7 figure collection he'd be able to buy a half decent security system...

I feel for the guy, sounds like he was taken advantage of by many folks that he thought he could trust.

Not a ton of helpful info in there. This seems more like a scare tactic than actual plea for help. Perhaps getting one in the group to turn on the other.

Appears to be more than a one time heist, multiple times. If he's got ten possible players it should be relatively easy for major law enforcement or a good PI to at least locate some missing items sold. Some thief usually wouldn't sit on the goods, need to unload, possibly overseas, but to cash out. Sounds like dude's got a vengeful ex...she may not need to unload, just hurt big time! It is Joiszey, might even be really heavy-duty underworld crime? Ahh, dramatic, ain't I?

Quote: It is Joiszey . . Fugethaboutit! Da perps will be wearing cement shoes soon . . It would seem to me, a man of means would secure the services of private investigators if the local law enforcement investigation has bogged down. I tend to agree with an earlier post. To scare or psych out the guilty . .

Took him 2 1/2 years to figure it out? Very strange indeed.
