While searching through my pocket change thinking how boring the dollar coins are I found this Zachary Taylor with absolutely no writing around the rim. I had read about missing letters and was surprised to find nothing around the edge. What type of added value for this error? Thanks for looking

The condition of the coin is bad. Too many scratches. I wouldn't buy it, no matter the price, but that's just me.

From the condition of the coin with all the contact marks and missing edge lettering, I would not be surprised if this coin came from a casino, and had spent a lot of time bouncing in and out of slot machines. I have seen halves and from casinos with similar contact marks, and the reeding worn smooth from being used over and over in slot machines. On your coin, instead of the reeding being worn smooth, it obliterated the edge lettering.

That is one beat-up Taylor. Kinda cool, in its own way.

The edge lettering rubs off too easily.

That's looks pretty beat, it might have spent time in a dryer.

Easily could have been worn down and then dinged on the edges. Better pictures and diameter needed for proof.
