Looks like a good deal but I've never heard of it.

Looks like a regular ASE that Chrysler gave away as a souvenir, back when silver was cheap.

I agree. The coin looks to be a BU ASE. Chrysler has had an Eagle car division at one time. Likely a marketing tie-in.

Looks like these ASE coins were indeed distributed through participating Chrysler car dealerships nation-wide as part of the 2004 Dodge Premier Night. This was an "invitation only" event to show off the then-new lineup of 2005 automobiles. An archived press release from Chrysler confirmed the event, and several message boards make mention of car dealerships quickly running out of these specially packaged ASE coins.

I can't say if there's anything particularly collectible about the Chrysler packaging, but the ASE coin seems real enough.

Well I'd hope its real! And the whole Chrysler Promotion thing with the box and letter doesn't really interest me. I got it for the price, and the nice velvet US Mint case and airtite it comes with.

The Chrysler silver American Eagle dollar is a real deal. I received one from our local dealer, where we bought several cars.

Chrysler's / Dodge engine V8 5.7L (345ci) code-name "Eagle"

The pre-Eagle V8 5.7L debuted if not mistaken in 2002 / 2003, was installed to RAM 1500 pickup truck and later came to 2005 Dodge Magnum RT / Charger RT / Chrysler 300C.

While Eagle was next development of the same engine, introduced somewhere in 2009, main difference is the MDS (multi displacement system) deactivates 4 cylinders, when the car doesn't need them.

In the 2011 Dodge Charger has been refreshed with the second-new gen (current gen is 2015+) , so I see there is a reason and connection for Chrysler to distribute the ASE gift coin in 2012.
