Not impressed with the increase in prices, especially +$20..00 for the "Fine Silver proof dollar (2000-2025)" and for the "Fine silver proof set (2000-2025)" I realize silver has increased in value but .... commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 11027 Posts	Posted 01/17/2025 10:18 am IMO, the 2025 Silver Dollar (SD) commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the completion of the National War Memorial's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Ottawa, Ontario) has an attractive and interesting design. The symbolic meanings behind its various commemorative design elements hit the mark for me. I find the SD's design superior to the one found on the $100 Gold coin that commemorates the same anniversary. The significant issue price increase for the SD is unfortunate, but the coin itself is an excellent commemorative piece. It's a design worthy of being on Canada's annual commemorative SD release (IMO). Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved. Report this Post to the Staff

I wouldn't mind so much, but some of the releases are very eye-appealing and I fell badly that I'm passing on them. If only the RCM made uglier coins my decision to stop wouldn't bother me so much.
