I will get some better pics to post but I think this could be a old gold coin, it's really worn and skinny and is only a small coin. I havnt been able to identify it yet though.

I have no idea why you think it might be gold. Gold coins don't get treated like that, and it doesn't look gold colored.

Ireland, Scotland, or England under the reign of Charles I.

the can be treated like that if they are lost for many years in the ground maybe ? I thought it had a gold ish appearance underneath all the crud. so had to make sure.

I have had one of these coins since I was a kid and several years ago got around to identifying it.


Scotland Turner (two pence) Charles I 1642-1650
Copper, 20.0 mm, 3.16 gm
