Not sure if this is the right forum...

Just venting, if anything...

I ordered a sheet of uncut $2 bills from the US Mint's website several weeks ago. They've been stuck in processing. No one can answer anything about when, if ever, they'll ship-- I'm just constantly told "it's processing". They won't even let me just cancel the order because it's in processing status.

This is so frustrating!!!

I hate sounding like the grumpy old man on this forum but, I sure miss the good ole days of ordering directly from the Bureau. Their Money Store website was so easy to navigate. Ordering was also super easy and they were rarely out of the staples, like sheets.

Things started going south when the government decided to merge the Bureau's website with the Mint's website. Then came Covid and shortages and staffing problems, and right now, it is what it is.

Sorry to hear about the delays to your order.
It's none of my business, but why is expedited shipping important ? Is the sheet for someone's birthday or anniversary ?

Did you already pay for it?

It is for a birthday. and I need time to get it framed and whatnot.

It was paid for as in I gave my credit card, though it hasn't been charged yet because they don't charge until they ship

I ordered and got the sheet months ago.wow they still have them? I ordered the 4 $2.00 note sheet.I am surprised they still have quite a few uncut sheets left. Usually when I called the Mint they got an answer for me fast. Just tell them to give you the $5.00 notes for the same price. Well I wish you luck.

If it's close to the birthday, and you're set on wanting a sheet, try ebay. The typical markup is affordable as long as the sheet doesn't have any fancy serial numbers.

I'm surprised that the mint is taking so long - did you also request expedited shipping too?

It shipped today.... but I'm fairly certain it's only because I was calling and harassing daily-- and even got some deputy directors at the US Mint involved...
