I have an 1859 penny coming in nice condition . All I know at this point is it has a definite double 1 and 8. Looks to be a wide 9?Thanks will post pics of what I have .

@westy00 - all 1859 dated cents are narrow 9. The wide 9 was only used on the over dates 1859/8.

Where do I find rarity of the coin with these errors?

Haxby PC59-47 is a common variety R1 --keep finding them and listing as you never know as 1 is listed at $10,000 only 4 known I think.

I think your coin is Obverse 10 + reverse E12a. Die pair PC59-23. The 1 and 8 seem to match and stem to leaf 9 matches better than the E25b. Still need better photos to be sure though.

Is there a die crack to the tip of leaf 7 as shown in the Haxby catalog?

If there is, that would confirm that it is Rev E12a. The obverse should then match Obverse 10. I still believe it is 10+E12a based on the re-punched 1 and the shape of the stem to leaf 9.

More pictures I don't see a crack Like the haxby pic ? Turns out the 5 is a re strike as well .
