Can Anyone Tell Me Why The Mint Sells Coins In Gold Boxes?

jgfindring Rest in Peace United States 1380 Posts	Posted 02/25/2023 1:26 pm Those aren't sold by the mint like that. They are repackaged by a third party, probably World Reserve Mint (?) and sold at horribly inflated prices. Name might be World Monetary Reserve. Report this Post to the Staff

Or, do they just take the mint roll and place it in this gold box to inflate the price? Report this Post to the Staff
jgfindring Rest in Peace United States 1380 Posts	Posted 02/25/2023 2:36 pm They don't inspect anything. I suspect they buy the huge Ballistic Bags of coins and then put them in their own rolls. They frequently use non standard quantities, I.e., small dollars come from the mint or a bank or armored car company in rolls of 25, I seem to recall that these guys package them in rolls of 20.
