They absolutely count! That's funny that you found them roll hunting! Their not even legal tender. Were the rolls customer rolled rolls?

In my opinion those were good finds regardless of their worth!

No, they are real half dollars. That's a stick-on stencil someone stuck on the Kennedy half. They were bank (Loomis) rolls.

@arkie - amazing tokens! I really like all of those. I think the elephant on the one is funny!

@USSID - Those are a couple I would keep!
A few years ago while roll searching I found a LOT of politcally changed Kennedy halves and suspect it was from the overprint not producing near as many sales as had been hoped by their creator.

I found acetone worked on every one of these (reminded me of the catch phrase always used in days gone by to market Visine Eye Drops). I swore JFK's smile was a bit wider after the process. And to think...no missles being boated into Cuba this time, and all it took was acetone. JFK should have had it so good.

A Truman medal, somewhat oddly sized at 33.7 mm in diameter, but beautifully struck in high relief. I'm not sure that wasn't one of a series -

Aluminum, about 39 mm in diameter.

Is it just me, or does the style of that eagle look rather Germanic?

I believe the term is Art Deco. That applies to the obverse, as well. There are some really nice engravings that employ the same style, including this GM medal:

And this eagle is quite similar:

In Memory of Tootallious 3-31-1964 to 4-15-2020
