Hi there. I have tried many different tools and ask around and still unable to identify this coin. Do you guys think you could take a look and let me know?

Can you get any clearer images of it? I can't make out most of the characters.

I've been looking. The coin would appear to be commemorating the art of calligraphy by a revered artist. Just a guess but I'll be darned I can't find anything even remotely close. See if you can get some clearer pictures as others have mentioned and let's go from there.

Also.Welcome to the Forum! You've come to a great place to share and learn.

Check in Nepal/Tibet/Burma area. Suspect it is a Buddhist temple token, robes signify a priest and halo is dieified as the Dali Llama.

Does anyone knows what the text reads? How about the 6 limb symbol with the sailing ship? This coin has puzzle me for a couple of months with no ID. I was thinking it has to be either a token or medal. Also app for iPhone I used recently mentioned some hits for Manchukuo but I still can't find a single image of a coin that match. It's kind of interesting though when I started looking at coins from Manchukuo, I saw 2 red coins that look very similar to 2 tokens I also have on my unidentified pile and they turned out to be a 1 and 2 fen coins and not tokens at all. So the search lead somewhere on different topic but no final destination yet for this coin. I wish I knew the language

I think I finally got something on this coin thanks to the tips here. I focused on the 6 limbs/arms/petals symbol and found out it's related or represents Taiwan Tzu Chi. Switched my search to that and found some photos matching the front halo Buddhist person. I guess it is a 2012 Year End Commemorative coin or token Included In Red Envelope Of Wisdom And Blessing. Can you guys take a look and see if you can find anything else that tells us more about this coin? It looks like a not very well known kind of coin

Thanks to gsbd

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tzu_Chi

EDIT: My best information to this point is that the person in the image is Master Cheng Yen. Founder of the humanitarian organization Tzu Chi. Possible date of the coin is 2012 though no proof, just from information gleaned by reading.

Just realized Master Cheng Yen is a she. Could be her on coin.hard to tell with a shaved head.

I don't know how to determine the year these are issued (if they can be at all), but I found a couple links regarding the Tzu Chi ang paos given out yearly that look to include this souvenir token:
