Pulled this one out of a circulated roll of 1943 cents last night from an ebay purchase that just arrived. I bought "1 pound" of 1943 coins which turned out to be a full four rolls for $5.50 + $7 shipping.

1943 DDO-001, FS-101 light cleaning

Awesome find! Even though it has been lightly cleaned, it's still in very nice condition.

Another nice find. I wonder what effect Verdi-Care would have on it?

I'd leave it alone. A valuable variety is something not to be experimented on. Practice on a junk coins first. Nothing worse than saying: "I wish I hadn't done that now." You could loose a lot then.

Although I am no fan of cleaned coins, they are what they are and in this case it doesn't look bad at all. Gonna just leave it as is for that reason and like Coop says, not so good to experiment on the valuable ones.

On a damaged coin you always wonder, why would someone hate a coin this much?

Ouch! But at least one has to hope that happened by accident. Someone did this on purpose:

Bats, nice score on the 43 F'S-101. The 1880 Indian cent with drill hole looks great for an ear ring or wrist trinket. Its crazy isn't it, 2 months ago I found a 1904 Indian with a hole like yours in a bank $25.00 brick Its kinda cool but still wished it was non damaged. A 43 DDO, I'll be danged.

That hole in the Indian cent pretty much removes all collectable value for this coin. (now a cull)
