I have over 240 commemorative coins (from 1975 to 2013) from the us mint (all in the original containers, with COE, etc.), along with close to 100 2013 ASE's and 100 2013 bullion ASE's. These were my father's, who recently passed away. None of them are graded, just all purchased directly from the mint over the years. It is an amazing number of coins, and I know there is quite a bit of value here, but I don't have the time to collect coins and need to figure a way to sell these. I'm looking for suggestions on how best to do this. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

all depends on the coins and conditions. you could sell them here if you are eligible, or ebay but expect fees...i think 12% but I haven't sold on there for a while. Lastly you could try your LCS but they likely won't give you much over melt.

Try to sell here first. At least group photos and a description of general condition should be included. Good luck!

Admitting ignorance here but I have bought/sold on ebay exclusively and am curious how payments are handled when buying from sellers on this site. Edit: oops...never mind. Actually went and looked as some items and the options were clear

Jbuck, sorry about that. I'll read up on the requirements.
Bret, the first ones are proofs (there are actually slightly less than 100, my Dad gave a few away as gifts), the 2nd ones are bullion coins.

Oh, and I made a mistakes on the proof ASE's, they are 2010, not 2013. Sorry. The bullion coins are 2013.

Yes, I did, but my reply bounced. Looks like your domain has lapsed. Try again and send me your new e-mail address. Do not post it here! The spam-bots will see it.

Sorry for your loss. I started collecting when I inherited some coins from my parents. Were it me, I might sell the duplicates and keep the unique ones for a time to see if you want to start the hobby. Some are worth more than others, and a copy of the Red Book will help you know what has value beyond the raw metal. If you do go the route of selling here, once you meet the requirements, I will be looking out.
