so I've probably done about 12 boxes since I restarted CRHing in mid june (after taking over a year off...moved to MN from CA). out of those 12 or so boxes, I've had 1 legitimate skunk and 1 skunk because it was a brand new box of 2012. I've been pulling about 2 per box, with 1 yesterday and 4 the day before. This was all after that mega box with 30 silvers (19 mercs, 11 rosies). I've been telling myself that i'll stop for a month as soon as I get two skunks in a row. we'll see how long this streak lasts.

Was hoping for more, but I'll take it

I tried dime roll searching for the first time over the weekend when I couldn't find any more halves to search. I got $100 from one bank and a full box from another. I found a 1964-D in the first $100, but nothing in the full box.
I did notice that going through dimes takes a lot longer than halves do. I have a few days before my next box of halves come in so I might have to try another box or so of dimes as well as try out some other denominations.

I just dump out a big pile and then grab handfuls to edge search. You are right though - it takes a while. Some people get the clear wrappers and edge search.

I searched another box last night. This time it yielded two silver dimes, a 1946 and a 1957-D. My wife did like 5 rolls and found the '46. Somehow she always does that, grabs just a few rolls and finds something as she has done several times with halves. I didn't find the '57 until my second to last roll.
This box went a bit faster than the first as I get used to it and I went through them in a room with better lighting rather than while watching TV. These dimes are just so tiny compared to the halves I'm used to.
I'm gonna pick up one more box today before I should start getting more halves in tomorrow. Hopefully this box will be at least as good as the last.
