You are all falling into my trap. I let you get ahead so you become complacent, and then I make my move Now that Headley is of the DL and when it gets to May for Ike Davis I hope to close the gap.

Quote: I was a day late getting the update done, so the stats are probably through Monday. That sounds right. You usually have to do them by hand if you want them accurate for the games played that all. Tuesday was an enjoyable day for my team

So whats the deal with injuries again? If they go down we can swap them for someone right? Pujols looks like hes going to go down at some point this year

Yes, you can make two injury related trades per season. And, unlike regular trades, you can swap the player you got to replace the injured one back once the original injured player is playing again. The only rule is that you cannot make an injury trade until the player is officially on the DL (is Pujols on the DL? I'll have to check that.) One rule not specified in the original rules I posted is that once the injured player you traded is off the DL you have until the end of the week that the player becomes active again to decide if you want to keep the player that you traded for or if you want to return that player to get your original injured player back. As the original rules state to get back your original player you have to return the one you took for the injured player originally. If the injured player you are trading is from one of the Silver Slugger categories, you can only trade for another Silver Slugger player in that same category. Of course, Pujols is not in a Silver Slugger catagory so you can trade him for any MLB player (unless they are already in a Silver Slugger catagory). Sounds confusing; any other questions please post.

That made sense to me thanks for explaining. Hes not the DL yet but his foots been killing him, theres a good chance he will see the DL at some point this season. Hes going to try and play through it as long as he can though

basebal he is in the Al...they'll run him out as the DH all season long if he can stand and swing the bat. That's what the Twins and White Sox did with Thome for the last few years - even though he could barely move other than swinging, and even then if he struck out on a big swing he was in traction for 2 or 3 days...

He still has to run the bases though, the babe ruth rule is gone lol.
Its not as bad as Big Papis last year but its on its way. If they keep playing like this and drop out of the race I fully expect them to shut him down at some point.

Well... if they shut down and are out of the race... my Twins could use a pitcher or 2 - I'd even offer to trade our non-hitting rookie centerfielder for yours straight up... heck we'd be getting a guy closer to retirement and you in return would have a guy with a great upside!

Gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling watching the Angels and Pujols. He could have had lifelong standing ovations and a statue in front of the stadium here but had to be greedy. His contract is so back loaded if he doesn't play 8-9 years he will lose millions over what the cards offered him. He could have made 20-22 with STL but took a pay cut to 14 last year and 16 this year in hopes of raking it in at 30 per the last year. Problem is he will never get there. On another note I'm still getting skunked on Crag and Stanton, how long can I hold out, even if they both hit one tonigt they are on pace for 10 on the season.

Aside from the fact that Stanton hates life on the Marlins and wants out but hasnt publicly said so (his agents asked for trades though) there is no reason for anyone to pitch to him on that line up. I honestly wouldnt be shocked if he put up some ugly numbers for them if he doesn't get traded. Worst owner in baseball if not sports
