I personally don't like how they do it. I'm a believer that if a company says they have something in stock that it should be in stock. If they wanted to let people make backordered orders I would have no problem with that. I've done that before with ammo. As long as the seller is upfront about everything I have no issue. The deception that its in stock though and then you wait several weeks before it even ships, especially when they don't wait to charge you) I don't like though and wont do business with companies that do that

Quote: F rating from bbb speaks for itself Wow, I just checked and you are right! Granted, it looks like every single complaint has to do with delivery (delays, I'm assuming), but it's still not good. Goldmart has significantly lower premiums (for the limited items they have in stock) than any other online dealer I have found. And I have bought a lot of stuff from them as a result. Apparently, however, the only reason they can offer such low prices is because (a) they often claim to have stuff "in stock" when its really not and (b) their shipping department consists of a single half-blind and crippled service monkey who only works on alternate Thursdays except when he is sick. I've had one problem with them regarding a package that arrived opened with missing merchandise, and they agreed to send me replacement merchandise at no extra charge (a 100-ounce silver bar and a tube of Philharmonics). So I have to give them credit for at least making it right in the end. But their communication is really awful and it gets annoying when they keep promoting how large orders paid by bank wire will ship within 2-4 days and then be shipped fully insured, which never actually seems to be the case. I dunno. In the past I have purchased 100-ounce silver bars for $0.39 over spot, Canadian Maples for $2.09 over spot, 100 gram gold bars for $19.99 over spot, etc. And so far I have received everything I have ordered, albeit after significant delays at times. Is it worth paying a few hundred dollars extra to get stuff quicker and with better communication? So far, I've been willing to deal with the problems in order to save the money, but to each his own.

Personally, the stuff I ordered is for stacking or just setting aside so I am cool even if it comes in mid-May but there were other things I would have ordered from them had I received my original order and it been in good shape by now. Basically not sure I see them as a company I trust as a supplier for any large or regular purchase. More of a one off type of supplier when their prices are just too good to ignore. For comparison I received an order from APMEX made after my Goldmart order in 4 business days package beautifully in a box with a bubble wrap envelope inside.

Well, right now it probably doesn't matter since they barely have anything in stock and their premiums have gone up ever since spot prices have plummeted. Once prices and stock stabilizes, however, I will probably continue to use them for the occasional purchase of a 100-ounce silver bar or 100-gram gold bar. I'm not planning on buying any more monster boxes, but I'd definitely buy from them again if I wanted one, since they just contact the main distributor and have the item drop-shipped.

My most recent Goldmart experiences are...
1- I deposit thousands of dollars of cash in their bank account; 2- They then they ignore my emails (literally NEVER responding to them); 3- When I try to call them, they leave me on hold for well over 10 minutes; 4- On the rare occasion when I actually get to talk to somebody, I have some nasty, officious little snip adopt an abrasive, combative attitude toward me, raise her voice at me and talk over me so I can't get a word in edgewise; 5- They finally ship my order out long after there was any excuse for (on an "in stock and ready to ship" item).
In my book, the minor cost savings they used to be good for (but most definitely no longer are) never did warrant my tolerating being treated like that. With their horrible excuse for "customer service," their BBB rating of "F", the way they lie to their customers and their continuing inability to fill orders being what they are, I'll be surprised if they last another year.

I just received an email that my order from 4/5 has shipped. I will be interested to see what kind of quality the package and order are.

WJL
I have another order placed on 4/15 that has not shipped yet but I understand those items are back ordered but the price was right.

I'm in the same boat as wjl. Put in two orders a week apart in the middle of April. Got a payment received email on the first order. Nothing at all yet on the 2nd even though I know the payment on the 2nd order was signed for at the post office a week ago. Not impressed with the speed of things, but I understand all the bullion distributors have been busy and the price was hard to beat.

Best of luck to all of you guys. Unless something is radically different today from the way they've been treating people for the last couple months, you're going to need it.

wanted to give a quick update to my experience with Goldmart. I received the last of my two orders yesterday. Getting both of my orders took well over a month, probably pushing 6 weeks. Despite the slow delivery, my orders arrived without problem and I am reasonably pleased. No unexpected issues with the coins themselves. Given that I am now aware of the time it takes, I would use goldmart again, as long as I wasn't expected expeditious delivery.

That's the Goldmart thing. Their hook is low prices, but their shipping delays are usually measured in weeks and frequently in months. You're lucky you didn't have to deal with their exasperating standard practices of their ignoring your emails, leaving you on hold for 10 or 15 minutes when you call them and then treating you like an enemy if/when you finally do get to talk to one of their people.
I'm glad you finally managed to get what you paid for out of them. After what they've put me through, I'll pay the slightly higher prices and deal with less abusive vendors.

Got my merchandise. They did say it would be delayed from the outset 30 days, they took over 40. Its a difficult market, so I'll give them a pass. Price was good though, so on the whole, I thought it was a good experience. I will order again from them.
