All right, I might be cheating here as this isn't dated per se, but it was minted from 1837-1868. So let's go with 1847. Japan 1 Bu.

Shoot, my next coin was 1889. I had a good one for 1870 too. I'll have to look again tomorrow.

Nice! I was thinking that was the case. It was hard to get the photo in focus with my cell phone. It's amazing that they can take photos like that now.

All right, I was initially wrong about my previous post being a crack but I found another cent with what I think is a crack. Could be a plating issue? Die crack? What are thoughts here? Please look at the ribbon/banner under the O in cent.

I received the prize from Moniker today. Four beautiful silver coins. 1 krone and 2 kroner, 10 ore and 25 ore. Also included were some other 20th century Swedish coins including an iron coin. I don't have too many coins with thay composition. The 2 kroner commemorates the 300th annuversity of the New Sweden settlement in America in current day Delaware. The reverse is nice, and I'll post a pic of it tomorrow. Thanks Moniker for the contest and your generosity!

Was doing some research and that what I was about to say. Thanks! Is this worth keeping? Never seen a plating bubble go almost across the entire coin.

I just found this Lincoln cents CRH and it has this very straight raised area below the Lincoln memorial on the reverse. I think it might be a die crack. Thoughts?

I am simply blown away at the detail on some of these medals! They are amazing works of art. The interior perspectives of St. Peter's are wonderful. A quick google search shows they are rare and hard to find. Thanks for sharing.

I agree. The franklin halves are a nice set to complete very easily. It does cost money with the price of silver but it's rewarding when you finish because they are half dollars. It was the first dansco album I completed, even before roosevelt dimes and Jefferson nickels.

I received my batch of coins today as well. MMM put a few WW2 and Bathurst themed PNCs in extra. Very kind! I didn't even realize the thing about the letters when I opened them. That makes it really special and thoughtful! Thank you again and for the fun contests!
