Fascinating read. I actually became aware of this thread due to the son of @larsjan talking about this coin in Coin Discord server. I'm not knowledgeable about Colonial, but still captivated reading this full saga.

There are some variety collectors of pennies here on this side of the pond. Listed on ebay you can set up selling to UK, as well as US, and other places, beyond Canada. Or offer on a forum or social media, with understanding buyer covers shipping.
Also I've seen 1950/51 fakes, and bust gives it away with far too many incuse hair grooves, hyper-accentuated details, that just look off. But some of these are very good, all the same. ...... That reverse is scarily good - I had to count the teeth to make sure but the fake has 180 teeth whereas the genuine article has 187.
It looks like another in which they intentionally 'circulate' it, or in this case, it looks like it's been wiped very hard in multiple directions with abrasive polish. It's possible that's from the mould or die or source coin.
