Hi Appreciate the opinions. My reasoning for the real deal "no d" 1922 is this coin shows: 1. a stronger second 2 than the first 2 2. The L is against the rim 3. The reverse is clearly stronger than the obverse 4. Trust is stronger than 'In God We'
Thank you again for the time taken to post your replies. |

Hi, I bought this coin in a lot a few years ago, used my new lighted magnifier I received for Christmas and it appears to be the legitimate rarity. I would appreciate the opinions of others...

Not slabbed. They were probably in 3 separate 2x2 mylar holders as that is how he sent the previous large cents I ordered. He puts them inside the paper receipt, so I assume if you feel closely, you could have felt the coins inside (I guess). Total value of coins was $30. I am more of a stamp guy, but recently have been on a coin binge and am flabbergasted that this happened. Makes me leery about buying more coins on ebay at this time...

I hope I am posting this in the correct topic. I purchased 3 large cents from a seller on ebay, that I have purchased from before. When I got the small package out of the mailbox, it was obvious that it was empty. I noticed a slit in the back of the package, the pictures show what it looked like. I notified the seller. I took the package to my local post office. The teller agreed it looked intentional, but since tracking showed 4 different locations before it arrived at my house, they were unable to state where it happened. It did not happen after being delivered, as my mailbox is watched and no one accessed it but me. I am very disappointed as these cents filled empty spaces in my album and I thought I got them for a nice price. I again notified the seller and he refunded me my funds. He said he never had anything like that happen before and neither have I. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else...

Hi, I recently bought a large collection for an elderly gentlemen who scuba dived in one of the great lakes. Included was this 1834 large cent. It is of beautiful color so I have no intention of cleaning it, but it does have debris at certain points. I would appreciate an opinion: Is this a N5? It is definitely a large 8. It appears medium letters. Secondly, how is this graded? It is beautifully colored with nice detail, in the non-debris parts. Thanks
