what due you think this will grade at, I'm thinking g8 to vg10 . I am in the process of getting a roll of 1914p and 1915p barber half graded or raw. I have it down to 8 1915p and 5 1914p (2 being pcgs f12 and f15)

Very nice, I am working on finishing my second album of barber halves. Good job, I personally think this will increase in value overtime especially if you look at the mintages. |

This might sound a little harass but if you buying eagles for 5 dollars and over spot, your just wasting your money and IMO thats stupid. I didnt mind buying eagles and other mint bullion for 1.5-3 dollars as I would trust it more then non mint products but when your spending 5-8 dollars over spot it is not reasonable and in such a volatile market. Silver just fell to around 34.60 from almost 50 in less then a week and that has me a little nervous for the most part. You can loose alot of money is silver say dropped big time back to where it was in aug. 16-18 and if I'm going to buy anything right now it would be 90% us coins. Since the drop I been buying about 100 dollars in 90% each week, better to get something near or below spot in case of a crash and at the same time if it goes back up to the 40-50 rang again your good still. Also I don't see much point in paying 5+ over spot on a coin that has 20+ million mintage each year, not rare at all. |

today before work I went to a dealer in my area and I got to say everyone dumped there silver last week when silver was at 49, this dealer usually just has a small bucket of 90% coins and now they had buckets filled to the top. right now face is about 25.7 and they were asking 26x face, they must of gotten someones collection for cheap or there in trouble if silver continues to fall. Last week at 46 (33.28x) and at 49 (35.44x)and I would believe they would offer at 30x or below even and now I can see why alot of people went broke in the 80s
I only bought 6 dollar face and on monday depending on how silver looks I may buy a little more, I wish I sold a majority of my silver last week but I don't like to dump anything that I put alot of time and effort in plus most of my silver coins are not really junk but more collectible coins. I did get a few descent coins in what I got including 1927s slq and 2 1927d slq so not bad for melt ;) guess they didnt look at everything.

looks alot more then a correction to me right now, now under 40 an oz. A 9 dollar drop in less then a week doesn't look good, I'm keeping what I got now but I'm a little worried that it will continue to drop. As you don't loose anything until you sell, if it does go back down to 20-30 an oz I will buy some more but right now I'm a little worried with these big pull backs |
