Maybe I can help one of you... I don't buy rolls labeled "unsearched" and only from sellers that have a lot of listings and a lot of sales that wouldn't have time to search their rolls if they wanted to. I have had pretty good luck searching for "wheaties" this way... Thanks again. |

BTW... it doesn't look anything like the way it turned out in the photos. In person, its red, not brown. and has cartwheel luster.... I think Apple starts messing with our phones the closer it is to the next model release. Its an iphone 14 Pro max, just over a year old.. . it used to take good pics... now something is definetly off.
Anyone else having issues with their iphone's camera? |

Yes found in a roll... ok Thank you for all the input. I also believe it is a business strike, and all your combined knowledge helps me feel better about my decisions...I appreciate it. I would have not wanted to sell it if it turned out to be a proof. |

Somehow this proof or very nice business strike made it into a roll I was hunting I purchased on eBay.. I have no history to offer. It displays luster in person. Obviously, I noticed it immediately. Thank you. |

I thought it was a proof because the LIBERTY is so SQUARED. and it is matte finished... But ok if not a proof, then MS. ? I have been reading about how difficult it is to tell the two apart. I really need some experienced help with this one. Please forward. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks all. I'll send it to ANACS. Am I the only one that sees the VDB on the reverse? I "get it" about spacing, the coin has issues and the date especially, but certainly everyone can see the "D" on the reverse. And at the right lighting angle, the "V" and the bottom half of the "B" all exactly where they should be and in the right font. It is difficult to photograph. If it was a 1919S, they should not be there, as John1 explained in an earlier post. It's not a "Dead Horse", not yet, although that description could be used for many things and people. Perhaps you should choose words not so dismissive and disrespectful to a truly majestic breed of animal. Feel free to move on. To the rest of you, I'll send it off soon and report back. |

Thanks all. If you zoom in on the reverse, It looks like there is a "D" in the exact spot it should be... under the "M". I'm new still so I'm working on getting better pics posted... it's difficult because of the acid damage to get the lighting correct. i'll work on it tonight or tomorrow morning for you all. Obviously, if there is/was a "V.D.B." on the reverse, and no "V.D.B." on the obverse, it must be a 1909 S VDB. Stay tuned... Thanks |

I will try another photo... it was difficult to focus the date, especially "46"... not pmd, not damaged, just difficult to focus...it looks like machine doubling, but then how to explain the "6" being off that much? the back of this coin is frosty AU, so I will post reverse also. Thanks to all... even though most of you don't/didnt reply... I can't learn if you remain silent. Thank you. |
