Hi!
I bought this coin for 4€ a long time ago. Not sure what it is exactly, but I think it's an English groat from around 1500.
Anyone know more about it?
Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I recently received two old islamic coins. Unfortunately, I have very little knowledge of this topic. Does anyone know where and when they are from?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the replies, very interesting.

(I forgot to mention the diameter: 31mm) The edge is smooth.

Hi!

Two weeks ago I bought a set of various world coins that contained a strange bronze medal. Even after much research I have no idea what it could be. There may be a winged animal on one side, underneath it looks as if something is written in arabic script (?). On the other side two swimmers could be shown.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
Thanks in advance!

Wow, thanks for all the replies!
I think, I will add it to my type set.
I took a picture of the edge, it has the normal lettering "One Hundred for a Dollar".
Regarding those bright spots over the BER, I honestly don't think they are metal bridges, but instead part of the large worn area that can be seen all the way to the right edge of the obverse.

(Glad that I don't have to be too ashamed of my English.)

Hello!
At Sunday, I bought a bag of coins at a garage sale here in Austria for €20. In addition to many modern world coins, the bag
contained an old Austrian silver Kreuzer which I didn't have in my collection before. Great deal!
However, there was also a 1794 US Liberty Cap large Cent, a coin I never expected in such a situation.

So my question: Does the coin look genuine?
And what varaint is it? (If anyone can still say that despite the low grade) It would be great if I could add it to my US Type Set.

The weight is 12.60g

Sorry for my bad English.

Many thanks for your help. Impressive age actually, even for a coin. I really had no idea.

Thanks for the help!
Unfortunately, this strange "coating" sticks to the back, which makes it shine when photographed under a light source. (Otherwise it wouldn't possible to see anything through the darkness.)
But I googled for nabataean coins and it looks a lot like these "angel figures" on some reverses.

Maybe this picture is a bit better.

Hello!
Last year, I bought a small lot containing this coin(?). Now I would like to know which it is exactly. (Country and minting period)
I know, the condition is very poor, but maybe someone has an idea what it could be.
Thanks in advance!

Weight = 2.59g

Hello, I recently bought a modern coin lot that apparently contained an old Roman coin. I am not at all familiar with ancient coins, but after a long research I am convinced that the person on it is Marcia Otacilia Severa, the wife of Philip the Arab. The coin is 23-24mm in diameter, weighs 4.36g and looks like it has a plugged hole. Does anyone have any idea what face value it has and what metal the coin is made of? (Or is it even genuine?) Thanks in advance!

Wow, that's really a very low mintage. Sounds like a great Key Date.

Hi,
A few years ago, on a trip to London I bought this old french coin from a local coin-dealer in a cheap lot for £10. It is from 1773 and bears the portrait of Louis XV. The diameter is 26mm and it weighs 5.27g. I'm not an expert on French coins and would be happy if someone could tell me the face value, mint and mintage. Thanks in advance!
