Thank you for the welcome. NumisRob you might be just the person I'll need to pick there brain on things then. I'm very much a newbie at this but am reading up on more and more stuff about collecting. Gotten quite excited about it and of course makes me feel special that my Granddad passed them on to me.

I'm a young man who is just now making my start into coin collecting. I was gifted my Granddads set when he passed, we spent a lot of time going over those coins. I realise this forum is more US based but did see some threads about New Zealand coins when I was searching for somewhere to join.

Most of the coins I inherited are of course from New Zealand where I live and whatever else my Granddad picked up while serving overseas. Not sure what to collect but of course will pick a set thread as I go and probably NZ coins wherever I can.

My first purchase is a New Zealand1974Silver Dollar proof that I picked up for $11.50 on a $1 reserve auction site we have here. Think I've picked up a bargain first off.

Most of mine are from New Zealand where I live and whatever else he picked up while serving overseas. Honestly I would love these as something so unique, you would hardly see here in NZ.

Of course if I do get chosen, I'm happy to pay postage.
