rarity goes from 1999 to 1998 to 2000..99 being rarest..98 in middle..2000 least rare....im not sure but I feel the 2000 should b worth more..i have found 4 wide 98s..1 wide 2000..no 99s...value on 98wam I beleave ranges from 5 to 45..but I'm not 100percent on it...watever someone will pay...good find..congrats
yea the obverse over hangs all the way around..in wrapped roll u could visibly see it was slightly larger than rest of pennies..the obverse affected half makes coin bigger..back half is normal..its strange theres no misalignment.
coin is slightly bigger than normal..notice it in a bank wrap because of it being alittle bigger..obverse seems to over hang all around coin but no misalignment
Nice find. Would it be possible to see a full picture of reverse? With coin being flipped reverse would be upside down. So cud point isn't showing. But its extremely cool find.
As always you have answered my questions to the t..in away that is completely understandable..i appreciate this more than u kno coop..i take what u say literal and I'm learning alot from you..thanks for taking the time to set me on the right path..
Well actually if you know what u got don't ask for help on it..i see nothing of any value..i see uve been on here longer than me so you should kno..im sure 9 years from now id have some kinda clue as to wat I was looking at.. plan and simple I was being nice and trying to help..dont take a pro to see you have nothing here of value
Makes perfect sense spence..its always cool to investigate these damages and get answers of the causes...a damage section for people to refer to might not b bad.i feel so many questions would b answered by refering to it from time to time
I don't really see much of anything but I'm no pro..what I see is possibly plate blisters and a dark rim mark from maybe a coin sitting on it..waiting to see what other people say
So my question is simple..can you consider something a variety without proof there is more than one coin in that variety..and if it is unknown is it not a variety until it gets known..and if theres many different die varieties in one year does it depreachiate the value when so many are out..for example take the 49 dd quarter where almost all of them are doubled youd want a undoubled because its harder to find right?..how come die stages arnt collected..early to late..just a few questions if you have the time to answer it b great
I have a nickel like this..idk..check it out..would be interesting to know what does this to a coin without messing up the back of it of leaving any pressure ridges around whole..
Youd think it b of some value to a collector given its condition I mean its deff not like the normal one for that year..if I was to collect a 2016 from curculation it b this one..may b over worked but it looks way nicer than a normal one..this would be late die state? Over worked die? Jus wondering how to mark it..i just feel it fits in the error collection..i mean it is something maynot b worth anything but it is a start of catastrophic die failure..as in after this point many errors can come..cause and effect kinda thing..idk
