I agree with collects82, Colonials would have a straight line at the top of the shield.

I did a brief search and found several sources claiming Suban minted his own coins but nothing with any actual meat on it. During Suban's rule Wadai was a Islamic state, so if they are marked(identifiable) they will likely have the sultan's name or the cities name on them, but I cannot find them. So maybe they are just listed as anonymous issues somewhere.

Spain again, this one is a mess though and has been at least two coins. The one I linked below has been 3.

Kinda looks like some ghosting on the reverse which would be interesting on such a thick coin.

This coin is likely from Spain, That castle looks odd though, would you please weigh the coin? While usually not conclusive in these coins, it may help lead us to a denomination. Also pictures without the plastic in the way would also be helpful.

I am interested to see where this leads you.

This article is 4 years old but it has 5 programs that will compare images for you, along with the obligatory nod to PS : https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-...king-images/

I don't know of any that could map by suggested points, other than maybe photoshop.

How is that done?

What program are you using for image editing? The steps to do it will be different per program, but I will happily find you instructions for whatever you are using. Usually there are layer settings and you can change the alpha value(opacity) of each layer(individual picture).

Rapid identification of World coins for beginning collectors would be possible if a large enough data base was created.

That's pretty much how the coin scope app works, though it is not persice enough for varieties or authentication. It wouldn't do well on ancients either.

May I ask how you do an overlay so that you can see both images at once?
You would have to change the images opacity.

Perhaps something like this, but I feel that the "one" and a little bit of the first of the second batch of pictures are counterstamps.
