I don't think it is either one [or even an RPM], but it would be helpful to AT THE LEAST provide a link.

The people on this website are all volunteers and provide information because they enjoy helping others, the least you [and others] could do is help out with helping them.

Value is very subjective/individual - I wouldn't let anyone on the site dictate the value.

Without pics [even with pics], your best bet is to place your own value on it.

edit: You state it is MS64, is it unattributed or uncertified?

Should probably be labeled "scarce" rather than "rare"

You are joking, right?

If the 72 is anything like this, I can save you some time and effort.

Nice find.

Accepting your attribution since you have the coin in hand and the pics are a bit bright and the coin has a good bit of damage.

I would recommend including links to your finds if you want comments because most posters prefer commenting on things like die cracks and cuds.

They will also contort into various shapes. I was told it is due to heat [possibly fire]. I have several in various sizes and shapes.

The OP was actually asking about class viii (tilted), not class vi, [I am guessing] on the IT in UNITED.

Unfortunately, I believe the answer is the same

LOL

edit: thought you were making a joke since the date is [obviously] incorrect.

These were made by private companies during a time when the British mint couldn't/wouldn't meet demand: Interesting story.

Effectively "counterfeits" [Conder tokens] that were accepted by the public. There are also counterfeits of the counterfeits all from the late 1700s to early 1800s.

I'd say it is looking very promising. Just need a better shot of the date and mintmark.

"Also see the essay in my signature for an eye opening reality with linked data to the PCGS website on the actual lack of expertise of these companies (despite mass mindset) when it comes to error coins."

This link gives me a 502 [bad gateway] error. Can you recheck it?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

To the OP: I would just put it in a 2x2 and call it good.

My two kids (ages 3 and 5) will each be getting a stack of 100 sequentially numbered notes from this series to celebrate the importance of it.

Thanks for the heads-up on this.

That site is absolutely dreadful.

They must have employed grade-schoolers to design that site -- I take that back, I think grade-schoolers might have done a better job. Maybe government contractors did it while burning the midnight oil.

I wonder whose bright idea it was to show the 1909P date as the first pic of nearly every DDR save two [6&10], in which they actually show the EPU doubling -- Not much on consistency. Looks like they took a page out of the Ted Turner book [whereby he colorized old b&w movies].

No thank you. If that is what the bright minds at CONECA have come up with then I feel badly/sorry for the hobby.

Unfortunately, I do not see that this is a DD. That being said, I think there ended up being many DDs in '72 and someone else might see something that I do not see.

I would like to commend you for having some fairly good pics of the correct areas without a pic-overload.

Yep, the Bicentennial Olympics was a lesson in commercial exhaustion/overkill.

Funny [sad funny] story about the '96 Olympics: A man in New Mexico was trying to get tickets to an event and the ignorant sales agent thought he lived in another country and told him he would have to go through his local embassy to get tickets. She insisted, "New Mexico, old Mexico, it doesn't matter.

Haven't been able to find any information on this.

Country, Token [or a coin], Year, Denomination, etc?

Anyone recognize anything about this?

Thanks for looking.
