I'm almost thinking a weak strike as well as the REX FIDEI look very worn compared to the rest of the coin.

Hi all, wondering if the gouges between the I in FIDEI all the way through to the D in DEF is a die error? Or just coin damage.
Thanks in advance

Thank you airgem. I did try to post a picture of the entire coin but resizing the photo so it's under 300mb means cropping it to basically the photos you see here. Yes, the closeups get very confusing.

Ok so this is the second 1 cent coin I have where I can't determine if the second whisker is blunt or not. Again any help would be greatly appreciated.

(Note for me - this is the lighter coloured of the two)

I think I need a new set of eyes, or two. I've taken 100 photos but still can't determine if it is a blunt second whisker or not. I've actually got two 1 cent pieces, but I'll start with this one first. If anyone can help me determine if it's blunt or not, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys and gals!

So I've taken several more photos. Not sure if they're any better but hoping someone can enlighten me.

Thanks in advance.

Haha just Googled "close up USB pic" as I've no idea what that means and all I got was lots of close ups of USB's.
I'll borrow my friend's camera that takes macros and see if I can get a better picture.
Thanks all.

Hi Nevol.

I'm seeing the correct photos from where I'm sitting. Have just tried to edit my post but I'm too late and it won't let me.
In a different post I submitted yesterday, under a different heading, it had uploaded a different photo to the one I selected, so on that post I had to remove it then upload it again. Now I'm wondering if it worked properly, especially if you're seeing a different photo to what I'm seeing on this post. Will have to check that one.
I'll just delete this post if the wrong photo is too annoying for everyone.
Cheers

Hi all,

I have a 1933 Australian Half Penny. The 2nd 3 in 1933 looks exactly the same as the one I just found on-line for sale. The one for sale states it's an overdate 1933/32. Is mine an overdate?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks echidna. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that was going to start eating away at my coin.

Hi all,

There's a dot over King George's right shoulder on my 1926 Half Penny. Is this a coin error or is it something I need to be concerned about? Any and all help greatly appreciated.

One side of my 1913 Half Penny looks ok, the other looks like it's been eaten. Has it? And will it continue to dissolve over time?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

Wondering if this is a split in the planchet or just damage to the coin during circulation.

Cheers in advance
