I still have that CC plate coin Cliff. I got screwed on ANACS attribution. From the time I sent it in and they graded it, CC changed it to MDD. So I got a grade only. No plate coin or 1DR attribution. Now they don't seem to know what it is or not and have it as 1DR-005. That was the only VDB on any site back then. I think all them 09 "DDRs" are goin over board myself
That's because it is MD. Thats not the doubling they are trying to show. Theres separation and notching mostly visible in EPU and ONE CENT. Its very minor and only listed on VV.
The reason the monument is stronger on the bottom left of Lincoln is because thats the high point of the strike (incused on the die). With it being struck already by the reverse die, it couldn't strike that area as much as it did in the field. If that makes sense
Either its not his coin or hes trying to pull a fast one. If you look at the marking on the plastic at 11 oclock you will see its the same in both pics along with the denticles. The Lincoln is either setting in top of the holder or its cropped and pasted on the picture.
Received today. Beautiful coin. Thank you for the contest. Finally won!!!! Want to take it out to get some really good pics but hesitant. Think ill keep it in the cellophane for now. Thanks again
Pulled this guy out of an uncirculated roll along with 4 BIEs LDB4-1955D-027B 4EL Not an upgrade but still a nice find!! Unfortunately this was the end coin
