2000-D LMC Die Break?, Re-Struck Cud?

Hey Guys, Sorry it took so long to get back to you. The "thing" is metal and you can see Abe's hair and jacket lines so it was struck and and not post strike damage. It kind of looks like a second ear on top, kind of. Whatever it is, it goes up the back of the head a ways. So, whats the verdict?

Hey Guys, This is new to me. At first I thought it was a Cud but I see that it's been struck. Abe's hair and Jacket lines are evident. Blank or Planchet error?

What accounts for the doubled detail (looks like bent trumpets) and the neck rippling?

Errers and Varietys,
why would "Tooling" be done to a 1961-D Lincoln Memorial Cent?

Hey Guys,, This one was easy to catch. I thought of Ghosting at first but the "halo" is on the obverse and reverse. Then there is the Cauliflower Ear, the doubled neck and maybe a doubled 2. Your expertise please.

Thanks chafemasterj, the microscope is a basic e-bay buy but it works off of a Microsoft LifeCam Studio camera. I don't think this is a dryer coin, the damage is to localized with the devices while the fields and rim are left unscathed. There is no reason why this couldn't have come from the mint in this condition (see cherry pickers guide fourth edition vol. 1 pg. 365). The photo of the date is looking straight down on the date and not at an angle which causes me to think the strike was a bouncing, glancing strike of a worn out die.

A friend has bet me this is a Doubled Die, obverse and reverse. With my luck at finding anything of value being zip, I'm betting this is die fatigue. What do the experts say?

Hey Guys, I've seen this before but don't recall how it's referred to (struck through?). Is a die chip on the N of in and is the mint mark an RPM or OMM? Thanks

The MM seems to change dimensions with different angles. I haven't seen this before and don't want to guess. Has anyone seen this before?

After a year and a half I should be getting better at this. So here's another "I'm not sure".

I'd like to put this one on e-Bay if you think it's worth the .35 fee.

This coin is very bright and shiny. The devices go from smudged to defined depending on the angle of sight. What am I looking at?

The missing Liberty Device caught my eye then noticed the mint mark. Are the two related? Can't find an example.

Thanks, I was hoping the Hot Lips effect has been overdone at the mint and this was a rare error.

The damage to this Morgan is "exactly" over the curled lip and nowhere else. Could this be mint damage or maybe someone at some time didn't like the idea of a sexy Dollar?

If this is a die chip on the MM, there appears to be 2, then the odd's are it's a punch issue? Yes? Also, this is a very close match to DDO-002, 2-O-V-CW from K-9, but I'll let you guys make that call. Thanks

The convoluted devices in liberty sort of match WDDO-008 but not much else on the coin does. What do you guys think?
