I received an email from the mint the other day telling me how "good things take time, historic things just take a little longer". Well demand is high and they are making sure I will get my order as soon as possible!
Thank goodness they are checking to ensure high standards of the product which is slowing the delivery.
Yesterday I was dropping off a parcel at the post office and a 2023 mint set called out and said buy me so I have a new Charles mint set. They only had 2 left, I had resisted buying one at the Winnipeg mint a couple of weeks ago as they had them for sale as well, but bought the roll set that day. I figured I could get Charles coins in change from the mint if I had bought the 2023 set but asked first and they didn't have any 2023's to circulate until later this month. |

Canadian Tire is a Canada wide chain of stores selling a variety of merchandise including tires. When making a purchase at Canadian tire, the purchaser is given a small percentage back in the form of Canadian Tire money which originally was in the form of paper notes. The notes have a value printed on them from 1 cent up in different amounts. The notes can be used as full or partial payment in the stores for merchandise. Even if you paid in Canadian Tire money you would receive a percentage of Canadian Tire money back so you would seemingly never be able to get rid of them. The practice continues but is now electronic. |
