NumisEd, I was a little disappointed myself, hoped I'd been able to buy more. I did get several coins and the trip was worth it for me. I was able to get very affordable airfare and the hotel across the street had decent rates for the one night I stayed. My expenses weren't bad, roundtrip airfare, hotel, Uber x2, admission x 2 days, total ~400 bucks. I would also recommend going the 1st (and 2nd) day the show is open to the public, perhaps you'd see better deals. |

From the owner of Maryland Coins, Ethan Opdahl, a new site has been created and is now active, for buying numismatic coins (and bullion). And because there are no seller fees, prices are much lower than ebay.
Dealers are vetted and it's free for buyers to create an account. New dealers and coins are still being added, so at the moment, the selection isn't as big as ebay. But if you find something you're looking for, the price is certainly going to be cheaper.

Very few of these at PF70. Ship is the Andrew Doria.

This is a great coin, Bhutan 1979 3 Ngultrums, KM 50a, sterling silver, crown-sized. Love the design on both sides.

Another sterling silver, crown-sized beauty. This one is KM# 625, with horse privy, mintage of 2000 coins.

These modern silver ducats are a great series, great production quality, lots of varying designs, and some dates have tiny mintages.

Love this design. Low mintage, too, at just under 3000 coins.

2011 Austria 10 Euro Lindworm, great design, very affordable coin.

Thanks all. The 1974 Sierra Leone coin was one which I just knew was an undervalued coin, but it's still never taken off. I thought it had everything, some age, nice design, one-year issue, relatively low mintage. You can still pick them up for a little more than spot, and higher grade slabbed for less than a 100. |
