Many Big Ebay Coin Sellers Don't Assign A Grade

Answer to this good question is eBay does not allow seller to grade a coin. if the coin is slabbed & graded by a TPG ( Third party grader), such as PCGS or NGC etc.,then a grade may be listed. It is not the seller not grading, it is eBay not allowing it.

I had a hard time squeezing a couple of them in, maybe the S proofs are a little bigger ? Maybe the album not correctly sized ?

It never hurts to ask what the tellers may have. My credit union usually isn't busy, & when I ask , sometimes they all check to see what they have. Last time I got a $2 bill, the teller said she was hoping she could get rid of it.

I have an '07 IHC that came with a hole at top obverse, found in a bag of 200 Wheat cents from a local coin shop. It is tacked on my home office wall next to my Farrah Fawcett poster. Spooky, now that I know it's VooDoo !

Nevertheless, perhaps a seller does have a slightly different perspective than collector. The collector's latest acquisition is his pride & joy, The seller's might be," can you believe someone wanted one of those?, or Hey,you sold one of those & I have a box full of them around here somewhere. My neighbor sells cars, I often ask what he sold that day. Sometimes it's a Corvette , sometimes, nothing. Maybe I should switch to decaf. As today progressed, I sold 2 Mexican pesos, a 1970 & a '79. After that , a Danish Krone from 1926.

Just an interesting look at the market. We have a "Post most recent acquisition", I thought this would be fun. I am curious as to what is moving in the marketplace.

There are sellers with a lot of these. I wouldn't want to buy an ordinary coin that has been polished for the prices they ask.
