Hello Mr T. Yes, the 2022 Small SD is mine. I now have one of each type. Interestingly the SDs aren't much different in size, but the echidna is in the low position for what I refer to as the 'Small SD / Low Echidna'. I think the Tiny SD size is a bit larger on recent years compared to earlier years, but I haven't photographed them to be certain.

Hello everyone, after a short hiatus, I have been reviewing my 5cent die changes for the latter years, starting from 2007 when the 'tiny SD' (AKA High Echidna) was introduced.
I have the following:
2007-2016 IRB ......all years with both small and tiny SD. In most cases the small SD has come from a mint set, usually the baby set.
2016Changeover - 2018......tiny SD only
2019 IRB.......small and tiny SD
2109JC.....tiny SD
2020-2021.....tiny SD
2022....Small SD. I have only seen 1 2022 coin purchased from a mint set. I assume the circulating ones will be tiny SD.

I am interested to hear if anyone has come across 2017-2018 and 2020-2021 small SD.
Cheers, Hans

Ryurazu, the cost is $45, and the $1 coin has the old portrait, not the new one.

For those interested in collecting varieties (as I am), letting you know that the 2019 MOR without privy marks A,U or S is available in the Possum Magic 2019 Sets.

I do pretty much the same as mentioned above, but I can also order them from the bank, as many as I want and pick them up a few days later. This way I get them in bags, not rolls which are easier to open. I usually get 1000 min of any denomination at a time. Only drawback is that they are heavy!

I'm not so sure it's pmd. Isn't the lettering too far in from the edge.

I have been in discussions with someone on ebay selling a 2019 5 cent from a broken up Possum Magic set for around $13. It would seem that it also is a small SD, so I wonder if they are all small SDs in the possum sets.
Thanks for your response ryurazu, I haven't seen any here in Adelaide yet.

Ryurazu, can I ask where you got your 2019 5 cent tiny SD (pictured) from? Was it a Possum Magic Set?

I have just opened up my 2019 Possum Magic set and it had the 5 cent with small SD (not tiny) and the spines far from the rim at 12 o'clock.
Will send pic if interested.
Looks like they are still using that die.
I wonder if members could check their 2018 Possum sets to see if anyone has the small SD variety.
Hans.

Hello everyone.
I am back noodling after a short break. Can anyone tell me which 2018 and 2019 coins are out in circulation, and in what state they are appearing.
Here in Adelaide I have only come across the following:
$2 -the gold coast series, one Invictus. No Poppy, no standards, no 2019
$1 - 2018 MOR and ANZACS, 2019 Discovery (S,U and A), no 2019 plain
50c - 2018 Mabo and CofA, no 2019
20c - 1018 platypus, no 2019
10c - no 2018, no 2019
5c - no 2018, no 2019.

Hi Schoza, any chance of placing one of you 1976 upsets in a 2x2 and taking a pic of each side? I have just had a quick look (turned them between my fingers) at 260 of the 1976s and found none. Just wondering if the rotation is so slight that I missed them.
Also interested to hear what you have found in the 1983.

Yes Agent86, I think you are correct however the tiny SD also has the spines nearly touching the rim whilst in the small SD the spines are further from the rim appearing to be lower. This is what I took Mr T as meaning.

Thanks Scarlett, tried them both. Out of stock, unfortunately.
In the interim, I have bought blank supreme covers and correct sized blank pages. I will keep looking for the printed ones though.
