I still remember the old lady growing up who used to put pennies (not old ones) in our pillowcases when trick or treating.... wasn't appreciated by the neighborhood kids in the '80's. I think it would be different with a baggie of old coins vs her dropping 2-3 pennies in our sacks. I think this is a good idea and I have a 5 and 7 year old that I think would be thrilled to get one out trick or treating

Has anyone used the mobile app to order coins or bill with Bank of America? I just noticed this option, I haven't CRH in a few years, but tempting to order a few boxes just to see how it works. Half and dollar coins are not an option listed, but doesn't seem like a limit on any other denomination. Just curious of how this has worked out, if they eventually take the option away.

Isn't the show usually in April? I haven't made it in 2-3 years now, but I enjoy seeing your yearly recaps

It's a cool coin. Did you buy it with the toning or did it tone in your folder? The Franklin proof is great as well, but I like the coin toning vs the Whitman writinng. You've had good luck with toners, I remember the ASE you posted a couple of years ago

I'd get another box or 2 from that bank, there might be the motherload of a dumped collection.... 3 different date/mm aren't a coincidence.

When I first started collecting I bought an average circulated roll of barber quarters from apmex. I had no idea what average circulated was referring to, but didn't look like picture posted. They took them back with no questions asked and free shipping on return as well. Very good customer service experience. I've bougjt from them a few times since and been always satisfied, no other return experiences

THE dansco I ended up with on eBay was used. It just says dimes on front and has pages for all mercs through silver rosies. I like the album a lot, not sure if person I bought it from customized it and just bought by pages

I had this same issue 2-3 years ago finding the merc dansco and thinking the same thing. I ended up buying on eBay. I remember checking sites after and they were back to readily available. Maybe they only print a run every few years? I'd call around to LCS in your area that probably have a shelf of new danscos collecting dust. Someone has to have them sitting on shelf

What about starting a 7070 or type set? This would expose you to the classics and give you fullness filling of completing a set and then from there you might pinpoint something you really like to start a full set of?

Thanks for the contest, I wouldn't have won if this dragged on. I was focused on the final marble landing in the first folder. Congrats to all the winners!

By "junk bin" do you mean a bin of nice coins in 2x2's or in the junk silver at 12-15x FV bin?
