the first is a hemidrachm of Philippos and maybe a barbarous imitation or a cast copy as Bob says. Impossible to be sure with a photo. The reverse looks very barbarous. albert

as travelcoin said, the mazaios stater looks good, but I am not sure of the authenticy. It is an emission of Mazaios as satrap about 360 BC ans very scarce see references SNG BN 332 ans SNG Levante 103.Check the fiability of the auction house, because these coins are to expensive. albert

In Belgium there is not only the VAT but also the customs charges. I had to pay 32 € + VAT and to wait three weeks for two coins from the UK. albert

all depends of the quality of the coin. Prices are more expansive for better coins - I am counting in euros- but I think the difference is normal for a avarage coin, but it can be difficult to find the coin you want for a good price. albert

I don t think. Noe 115 is a seven grained barley ear. Here you have IMO a eight grained ear with two additional terminal grains, the A is round toppaeg with a cross bar downward to right; So, I think it is a class III stater, numbering from 73-86.albert

first , I don t think it are the same dies : look quickly the beards and the title aug on the obverse , on the reverse the difference between P P and the distance of the inscription from the pointed border ..
But I think it is a real beautiful ancient coin , as I control it with what I have learned from my own experience . Congratulations albert

The cistophori were the silver coins created by the Attalid kings for use in the kingdom . The original weight was about 3/4 Athenean tetradrachme , so about 12 gr at Athenean weight standard .
The coins were stuck till the time of Marcus Antonius . With the reorganation of all the mints in the Roman empire , Augustus romanised the coin in weight and look .albert

No , I don t think so , problem with these early coins is often the weight . Crawford writes in RRC,p 159 for this coin : The weight standard of 2-8 (as to semuncia) is based initially on an as of about 54 gr and gradually declines to the level at wich nos 50/3-8,57/3-8 : average of as of 36 gr and 43 gr .I have the same problem with all my coins of this period , except the denarius . It is very difficult to find a match with Crawford because his descriptions are all the same and the photos in his book are not the best .I give a reference to the edition of Crawford in one of my posts a few weeks ago . albert

it is always difficult to identify these anonymous coins .The weight is important .The coin has not been cast as the very early .
First possibility : Cr 56/3 : the weight standard declined to 40.5 gr for an as , so a semis about 20 gr ,the best is look for photos and compare the reverse ; the prow and the superstructure
CR 106/5 : mark staff and club : on the reverse after the S , there is maybe a line ( the points) representing a staff , the average weight here for an as is 39 gr . On your 3th photo , it seems to be a staff (cr106)or a decoration of the superstructure of the prow (cr 56 ) .
Looking the photos , for me it is one of this , but with the coin in hand , you remarks maybe something else .albert
