What specifically were the items?

Bullion silver bars that I always knew they should not be taxed : https://www.silvertowne.com/product...lver-bar-3pc

And 2 gifts, that are 99.99% silver so I supposed they should be handled as all the coins that sell RCM that even if it's for collection and come in a clamshell are never taxed .

https://www.silvertowne.com/product...-in-gift-box

There is a separate charge for engraving $5 so maybe that fee could be taxed but not everything .....

The code that should have been used is 9705.00.00
Which has a definition of the following: Collections and collectors' pieces of archaeological, ethnographic, historical, zoological, botanical, mineralogical, anatomical, paleontological or numismatic interest:

This is the code I use all the time and never have a problem.

Thanks. And for bullion you use the same code?

For those who has knowledge about taxes for precious metal importation.

I bought some items for USA and was surprised to be taxed. I needed to pay at Canada Post in order to have my parcel released.

My understanding is that for 99.99% silver and gold we don't pay taxes, is that right?

Now, 2 items were 99.99% silver but there is a fee for the engraving. Can I request to be taxed only for the engraving fees? The invoice clearly separates the charges.

Nevertheless, I think that the clasification numbers used by the shop are wrong, they used: 970290000 (arts/vintage) and 982520000 (special classification). Which are the clasification codes that should been used, specially for 99.99% silver?

Thanks

I come back home after holidays and a family issue that made me stay longer and found my gift from nickelsearcher..

I received 2 Commemorative USA coins sets and a proof set, all coins from 1967.

Just reading some previous posts, sorry for the delay in reporting, it arrived weeks ago but I was abroad. Very nice gift, thanks!

REMINDER

There is a place to list what you collect and you can see what others collect.
This could make it easier for selecting items for the exchange

It seems that you can only read what has already been posted but I tried updating mine in 2 different browsers and It's now working the form.

I agree, many red flags and not a professional way of doing business.
If it was me, 400 euros is to high to get a chance with "what the heck".

I'm interested in the 1oz Silver Twoonie + BRX $2 Banknote set. The shipping is on October, maybe that's why is not sold out yet.

Someone who collect Bank notes from Austria? (not Notgeld)

Some periods of time or specific bank notes you like the most? Or the ones that are the scarcest?

French West Africa 25 Francs - 1942

Finally I got it! I was looking for it for a while. It's not easy to find this precious banknote in a decent condition.

Weell, what determines de date is the coin, not the cardboard, so yes if you want to confirm the date.

I didn't know they go for so low. I though that in that album maybe there are some notes that are more unique.
I have some Notgeld notes that I need yet to identify and put in sleeves.
