the only one I would possibly get graded is the unplated zinc cent...the 1912s is a good grade but I would get it graded...as far as the errors I always wonder why people get them graded because you already know what they are and are easy to spot and identify as real or not....some can be understood when you have a nickel on a dime planchet you know things like that that would definately benefit from grading....i would go for grading the unplated zinc and hope it comes back real..it looks real though but who knows?....i wouldnt waste the money to get the others graded but to each is own
ive seen a few people finding 1967 canadians....funny thing is I have not seen very many people find these in american rolls and just the other day I to found one....wonder if someone dumped quite a few of them without knowing?....i think those are the coolest out of the canadians and as I keep all canadian because I'm in the U.S and do just for fun I especially like the 1967 and have only found 1
that is funny that you posted these 1970's...i went through a bunch of proofs recently and found about 20 that looked just like those with the tonning....wonder if I should sell them? hmmmm
I think keeping them will pay off but not for a long time....and I mean only in BU condition not really rag ones...i keep all the ones I find from roll hunting because they to me are great looking coins and I know the ATB quarters have a lot lower mintages than the state ones....i have heard numbers between 40-100 million...compared to some years with washington quarters which have well over 400 million + it means if there are 50 million coin collectors out there and only 40 million made it makes it for a premium on them even if they are not directly out of the mint set...so in a shorter response yes I think they will pay off eventually depending on how you sold them (sets)
since you have a lot you can pull them out individually and sell say 1960-2000 all nickels on eBay...i see these going for a lot more when they are all together or if you have a lot of mint sets as well..make a few sets in nice dansco albums and sell them on eBay...you can get a pretty nice profit once all complete...but that does take a lot of time...is it worth it...thats the opinion of the person....but like most people are saying I would keep any silver proof sets any pre 1965 proof sets the bicentinial proof set issues anything with an ike and any state quarter/ATB quarter proof set....i see these gaining value especially the silver ones...im sure you could do some trading with people here on CC
haha ya don't you know it...i have done the same thing with a 1993 cent jayman....you think you hit the jackpot and turn it over and that 3 is looking back at you like ahh gotcha
nice pictures! I probably would not of caught this with it looking like a VLDS as you stated...but it looks like it to me..nice find...and hey even though it is ms62 its still a UNC RPM and to me a RPM in any grade is good when I find one haha
I would check it because it is a sign for the DDO-003 not the greatest of condition but hey a Double die find is always nice no matter what IMO...although the picture on coppercoins might just be ONE incident that the 8 is filled in and not necessarily a indication of a Double die? that correct?
when I try and identify if it is a small date I always look at the liberty because I know towards the TY it is faded and almost easy to pick out with the naked eye...although iam not sure that ALL small dates have this...someone correct me if I'm wrong
from the quarters I have done...roughly 1 silver per 2000$ searched give or take....i do not do them anymore as I got tired of it once I filled some albums plus quarters are HEAVY...definately not as good as dimes but theres always chances of some double dies or ATB if you are trying to fill albums
...ms 70.... And of course I would only buy pandas slabbed....don't trust anything minted in China really with A LOT of fakes now a days...can never be to safe when it comes to dropping money like that so definately slabbed!
macmerc your killing me with those panda pickups.....really want to get in on some gold but kind of want to wait to see what exactly its going to do because like everyone who really knows right now haha....but when the time comes I think I might have to get a couple gold pandas...as always nice coin
I work in retail and today when receiving a few rolls to keep the safe stocked up I noticed a little silver rim in the clear plastic so exchanged it for a 10$ bill and odds were it was probably going to be a canadian quarter but low and behold a pretty beat up 1958...happened to be a type B reverse so it made up for a little bit of the wear but anyways silver is silver especially at face haha
ahhhh I love those red seal 2$ notes got some wear but has character imo....im not realy into so called collecting notes unless a serial number or something pops out at me ill keep it for the heck of it but if I was going to start collecting I would definately start with 2$ notes
