Hey all-

Snagged this one for cheap off of eBay because I liked it (why else buy a coin, right?) but now I can't find out what it is.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

EDIT: also, is that doubling I see on the crown?

Hello all.

I am a freshman at the University of Michigan, and I have been disappointed to find that there are no numismatic clubs on campus.

If you are a student collector at UM, or happen to know someone who is, and you would be interested in co-founding a numismatics club at UM, please send me a PM.

If the above does not apply to you, advice on club-founding and the like (including catchy names!) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

This is my first encounter with variety attribution so I admittedly am a little bit out of my comfort zone on this one. I learned to look out for extra spacing between the "ES" in "STATES", and a strengthened leaf by the arrowhead, both of which seem present to me.

Thoughts?

From your description, it sounds like your coin could be worth somewhere around $100. We'll need pics to ascertain condition and value your item accordingly.

I just bought (for a quarter) a coin which Krause lists as having two varieties- the reeded edge, and the 'leaf' edge.

My coin appears to have a plain edge- can anyone help?

Well, don't give up! One dealer had a laundry basket full of coins that he was selling for 50% off catalog price!

A few of my steals included a Swedish silver proof for under melt, a New Guinea clipped planchet, and a French medieval!

The only coin show I've ever been to was at a small American Legion post just outside Cincinnati, and at least half of the 30-or-so dealers had world coins. I spent over half-an-hour at just one dealer's table looking through 15 boxes of world coins!

Hello all-

I have a small U.S. type-set (to compliment my much larger, ever-growing Foreign type-set ), and I was wondering which of these dollars to keep.

Option 1: Higher grade (& slightly higher eye appeal, IMHO), higher mintage (1922)

Option 2: Lower grade, lower mintage (1926s)
