Mar. 6-8, 2020 (Fri.-Sun.) Tennessee State Numismatic Society. Camp Jordan Arena, I-75 Exit 1, 323 Camp Jordan Pkwy., Chattanooga (East Ridge), TN 37412.

We're in our usual spot, Table 316. Setup Thursday. Bourse Fri. and Sat. 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Very large show, 200+ dealers. One of the best regional shows in the South.

We'll have a nice selection of beautifully toned copper/silver (and some brilliant, @Ricko ) (of course) and type coins, as usual, including some better-date CC dollars (and that includes a nice 1879-CC MS64PL PCGS).

Kind regards,

George

This is one that is in our personal collection:

1909 VDB Lincoln Cent MS67RB PCGS
PCGS reports only 8 finer: 7 in 67+RB and one MS68 (9/2019).
We're gonna hang onto this one until a nicer one comes along ... we may be waiting a while.

Kind regards,

George

A nice 1922-D Lincoln cent MS65RB PCGS. A favorite date for the three die pairs known. One (the Strong Reverse dies, Die Pair 2, as here) eventually produced the 1922 No D cents, while the other die pairs 1 and 3 produced alternatively 1922 No D and 1922 Weak D cents but with Weak Reverse as well and other distinguishing characteristics.

Kind regards,

George

1899 Morgan Dollar MS66+ PCGS CAC
The 1899 Morgan dollar is well-known and extremely popular for its status as a low-mintage Philadelphia issue. Although it had a generous survival for such a low mintage of only 330,000 business strikes, few indeed exist today as nice as this splendidly toned piece, completely original and certified MS66+ PCGS with the CAC green bean. Only a few trivial contact marks in the lower-left reverse field seemingly keep this coin from an MS67 grade. This gloriously toned Morgan dollar looks exactly like the Trueview to our eyes.

Hi Prethen. Well, first it would help to learn a few basic words of Italian. You're not going to find much searching for "coin."

Rare coins - monete rare
Numismatic - numismatica
Numismatic coins - monete numismatiche
Rome, Venice, Florence - Roma, Venezia, Firenze

Coin dealers - commercianti di monete

Search using "commercianti di monete Firenze" and you will find some coin dealers, etc.

Buona fortuna!

PS You could also learn some Italian free (it's not hard) using Duolingo.com.

Kind regards,

George

Those are some very nice slabbed cents giorgio!

Thanks Citation! I bought the largest single estate I ever have ... including a complete run of cents 1793-2018! Now, most of them were not near as nice as these ... the large cents were raw and mostly very unhappy coins, and the 1799 was a fake as was the 1864-L. Still, a nice haul, along with complete Buffnicks, Washies, Mercs, Roosies, all the dollar coins from Ike through Prezzies, complete Walkers and Frankies ... I am awash in coins!

Life is good!

Kind regards,

George

Didn't know this thread was still alive. Essentially I had mine sent to ANACS and it came back in a body bag as a counterfiet that's $60 I won't get back.

GC that really does suck. I will send you one of mine if you provide your mailing address. NOT!!

But I do feel your pain. Counterfeiters used to be dealt swift justice.

George

Just a reminder that we and many other dealers will be at the large TSNS show in Chattanooga, TN, with setup on Nov. 1 and doors open to the public on Friday Nov. 2 through Sunday Nov. 4. As is typical for such shows, the best dates to attend are Friday and Saturday, as many dealers are packing up or have already left by Sunday.

Address: Camp Jordan Arena, 323 Camp Jordan Pkwy, East Ridge, TN 37412 (aka Chattanooga TN)

This is a great regional show, more than 200 dealers, and you will meet quite a few dealers and collectors who are members of this forum there as well. We'll be at Table 316 and hope you'll come by and say hi (and buy something if a bauble hits your fancy).

More info: www.tsns.org

Please note, the list of dealers provided by CoinZip on the front page is far from accurate or complete. Here is the show organizers'-maintained list of dealers (and I'm sure it will have changes as well): www.tsns.org/wp-content/uplo...8november.pdf

Schedule:
Thursday Nov. 1 Dealer Setup 1-7 p.m.
Friday Nov. 2 8 a.m. to Dealers with Tables, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. General Public
Saturday Nov. 3 8 a.m. to Dealers with Tables, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. General Public
Sunday Nov. 4 8 a.m. to Dealers with Tables, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. General Public

Hope to see you there!

Kind regards,

George
