The figures confirm that the 2018 10 cent is low mintage at only 2.8 million issued, one to hang on to if you see it in the wild.

I went today and have to agree with markn, the show seemed to lack something, I bought a couple of coins but most of the stock you see is the same as any coin shop.
One dealer confided to me that given the cost of the stalls ("most expensive")he expected a much better attendance.

Thanks for that. I have been looking on eBay etc and came up with that conclusion, just something I hadn't heard of before.
Thanks again.

A friend showed me a $50 note with no Edith Cowan name in block letters under the children, he said it was counterfeit although everything else seems fine with the note, ie feel, print etc.
I went home and checked my notes and found I had 6 without the name, they vary from Fraser/Evans to MacFarlane/Evans with the full range of prefix's.
I really don't believe they are counterfeit(I hope) but has anyone else heard of these different prints?

Gee, for $65000 you would think he would throw in free postage, not an additional $20 for registered post.

I have wondered about the lack of any circulation coins, last report I saw said they would be circulated during March.
I asked the local tellers to watch out for me over a month ago.
Haven't seen one yet.

We had a similar set-up in the 70's and 80's when I was a teller in the CBA. Different tray for each denomination, it was very portable though, not with a lid like yours.
I think yours is cool.

Well done Pedro. I am amazed that after asking "advice" and receiving it, this note is then fraudulently offered for sale.
Shame on the seller.

The best advice I can give is be friendly with your local bank tellers, let them know what you are after and see if they will contact you if they get any new releases.
Mine are terrific girls who are watching out for the new centenary bags of 20 cents and then they will ring me if and when they get any.

It would appear to be a commemorative token rather than a coin,I am sure some of the token experts on this forum will be able to give you the full history.
