I reported it also. I let eBay know someone was going to get burned.
They replied back saying they had removed it. Hopefully saved someone some heartache.

I opened the capsule and it is definitely the the coin. Here is a pic without the capsule lid. If this is an error as biggfredd said what kind of error would this be? From what I could see only the fields are affected.

That waviness is actually in the fields on the obverse. I had bought 30 of these when they came out. I looked through about half of them and they looked okay so I didn't bother to look through the rest. I sold off the first half back then and I just pulled the rest out and I have 9 of these with this. It's not part of the design. Well it is now. I'm thinking worn dies maybe. I don't know.

I was going to sell some, but I would hate to sell at retail in this kind of shape. I wouldn't want to pay full price if I could help it.

As you can see this proof obverse looks like it is melted I guess you could say. Just wondering if you would consider this impaired and only worth silver value.

Although I did not serve in the military I did receive one from a buddy of mine. While he was in Iraq I helped his family when things came up. Car repairs, flat tires, fixed a leaking roof and replaced a hot water heater when it went out. Typical home repairs and such. Worked through computer problems for them so they could keep in touch. Things like that. The man had enough to worry about I didn't want him to have to worry about his family. Even though I wasn't expecting anything in return it made me feel pretty good to receive it.

That's pretty cool. Maybe someone just put them out there to spark interest in coin collecting. I do it every so often. I took ten dollars worth of wheats rolled up to the bank about 4 months ago. Hopefully it will spark interest with someone. I'm getting ready to do it again sometime this month next time I go to the bank.

Here is one I picked up while out on a beer run. Paid 120.00 for it. Drinking and buying coins are not a good mix. Over dipped and over graded. I'll take it.

I would have this note checked out. From what I have read online this is a rare note because of the centreville stamp on it. That's if it is real.

Thanks for the wishful thinking wquinn. There is no doubt that this note is fake. The watermark is missing, there are no fibers in the paper and the inking under magnification is blurred so as to not see the minute details. Not that lucky to have an error bill.

The arrow tips don't seem to be touching like the type b does. I would say no.

Just making an observation here but the 89 cc looks questionable to me. The ty in liberty looks mushy I guess would be the word. There is a spot on the rim just right of the s in pluribus and above the you in united on the reverse that kinda looks to be remnants of it being cast. The little pock marks on the cheek and below the e look like they could be from gas bubbles. The spot in between the m and e of america on the reverse doesn't really look to be a hit to me. Again these are my observations and I could be totally wrong.

Turn it in to the authorities? Sure am, you better believe it. I don't think the bank would reimburse me for it. How to prove it came out of their machine. What ever I do with it will have to wait till I get back after the holidays.

While running around today stopped at atm to get some cash and 1 of the 20's was a fake. Didn't know it until I used it at a Wendy's to get some chow. Lady at the register said it was fake. I gave her a different one and went on my way. Got to looking at it when I left and sure enough no security strip or hologram. Sucks I'm out 20 bucks. Gonna start looking at all my money from now on no matter where it comes from.

Yep that's snow. Locals probably thought you were nuts. Still fun if you are dressed for it. Makes for hard digging though. Those Garrets work alright in that kind of cold? I used a Whites that had problems fogging up.

Nice score on the silver. Ground must not be to hard up there yet. I guess your days are numbered as for the season soon to be over. Get it while you can.

Went out friday while everyone was fighting the crowds. I hit 5 schools in town. Been awhile since I had been out and it felt good to get out. Pulled just over 16 dollars from the schools.

As I was out friday I went passed one of my old hangouts only to see it was no longer there. There were two bars next to each other with an outside party area. The area in-between the bars was a large decked and gravel area where they had bands and such. Seeing as how drunks are always dropping things I thought I would give it a shot.

Spent about 5 hours there saturday and found just over 27 dollars in change, a 20.5gr .925 necklace and 3 fake rings. Went back today and spent 3 hours to find just over 14 dollars and a 2.5gr 14k ring. 3 hours was all I could take. It had so many nails, bottle tops and tabs it was insane. There is still more out there, but that is for another day. Have to recoup.
