What's holding it back. The plain 1909 had some issues that I agree keeps it at 63 but I'm not seeing much on this VDB.

Is it just nicks and dings?

How high can browns go?

Break out the old 1990 camera. Charge the batteries. Relearn the micro lens and lighting.

Added a little angle



Lots of high points on the kernels



Rim appears ok

So there was only one 1954 struck or only one found? Did they make the die series for 1954?

I found the difference between toothed and beaded so disregard that question.
